Global Virtual Channels not showing in Diadem DAC

Hi All

Very odd problem.

I cannot now see any of my Global Virtual Channels in Diadem DAC interface using the DAQ-mx driver block.

Also, in NI-MAX the channels are there, but I cannot actually get them to show any data when clicking on them and hitting "run". Its just blank, but there are no error messages.

Going to the DAQ device itself and clicking on the module I can actually get to see raw outputs from the channels, so the module are working. Its just that once you get to the virtual channel stage, it all seems to disappear!

I've even deleted all my channels and started over and its exactly the same!

Any ideas?

Hi AlexMason,

Which DIAdem version and which DAQmx version do you use?

Greetings

Diadem 2017 Advance SP1

and DAQmx version is 19.6.0

same as NI X-NET (also 19.6.0), my XNET stuff still works fine.

I have just noticed an option in DAQmx to reset all device names or something to default. Maybe this is worth a try.

In DIAdem you can only select channels that are clearly defined in MAX and error-free working. You said that it is not possible to read values of your Global Virtual Channels. This sounds like the problem is in DIAdem.

Greetings

The virtual channels are not working in MAX either

The situation is this:

I can see signals working if I use the Test Panel for individual module. So module is working and sending data to MAX and MAX can show this data.

If I then go to the virtual channels associated to the module, then there is no signal values. I hit "run" and there is nothing. Crucially, there is also no error saying why it cannot show the data. Its just blank. No errors.

DIAdem does not show and gives error about GfSNIDAQ.
