How do I read datafiles generated by ETAS INCA 4.0?

Could you please provide some more detailed information regarding the format ? Is this the "mdf" format which was defined by Bosch a while ago and which is also supported by Vector's CANAPE ?

It would be helpful if you could provide an example file so that we can check.

Inca puts out 4 files, they are .cfg, .dat, .mda and a MS-Access add-in. I tried loading the .dat file straight into DIAdem with no luck. I can not provide an example file since it contains propietary info.

It's just a guess which one of the files has the Bosch MDF format. I have testfiles from Inca which are MDF and the file extension for those is ".dat" so perhaps we can start there.
I have attached a script and an ActiveX control. Please copy the ocx file to the DIAdem-directory and register it with "regsrv2 scriptlibrary.ocx" from the command prompt. Start the script from within DIAdem. It will ask for the file to import. Please let me know how this works.

you are right, the DAT-Files are in MDF-Format (a grazy ETAS-Idea).
There´s also a "slow working" DIAdem-Export-Option available for INCA (filename: *#DiademATF.dat and *#DiademATF.bin).

But the best and fastest way is to use MDF import utility, it imports all the INCA-Comments too.
To reduce the number of time-channels (one for each CAN-ID) we use ChnMapLinCalc(..).
Moises, tell us, if it´s helpfull for you to include the interpolation for time-channel-reduction in the import tool.

darf ich nach deinem Brötchengeber (z.B. DC, BMW, ... ) oder der Location (evtl. S, UT, Sifi, M, IN, ...) fragen, da ich momentan Anforderungen an das MDF-Plugin sammle und mit NI diskutiere.

Ein Hallo an weitere Interessenten dieses Themas,

falls Wünsche, Fehler, ... zum MDF-Plugin auftauchen könnten wir diesen Thread zur öffentlichen Diskussion nutzen.

Hallo MDF-Importeure,

bis gestern war im Web ein MDF-Plugin vom Februar bereitgestellt.

Inzwischen ist eine aktuellere Version mit einigen Verbesserungen und Bereinigungen verfügbar (z.B. automatisches Anlegen von Attributen).
