Hi,
I'm collecting EEG (voltage/time) data with LabView (I'm getting tdm-files). I'd love to view these files also in Spike2 (CED) but Spike2 import only allows for example txt. files or DAT. files. How do I convert tdm-files to either txt. or DAT. files in Diadem? Is it possible or do I have to go through CSVs and some other application ( MatLab for example) to view my files in Spike2.
I'm new in using LabView and Diadem, so all hints are wellcome.
Thanks in advance

Just open the tdm file in DIAdem and save it as dat.
That should work fine.

Hi,
Thanks, I tried this, the DAT file exported to Spike2 does not look like as if it was accurately converted. Are there some special characteristics of Diadem DAT-files as compared to some other types of DAT files or binary files, that I should know of?
Cheers,
Henna

Hi Henna,
what kind of DAT files are you reffering to? DIAdem DAT files or a different kind of DAT files?
There are several other DAT files like AVL_IFILE, COMTRADE, EasySPC, Famos, HBM_Catman, HBM_Catman_Onl , HEM_SnapMaster_DAT, ...

Hi Henna,
If you are referring to DIAdem DAT files, the problem may be that modern versions of DIAdem output a unicode DAT header file by default, and some 3rd party programs only support the older ansi DAT headers. If this is the case, you can tweak a setting in DIAdem to revert to exporting ansi DAT header files.
