When executing diadem 8.10, error pops up and states something like: Error, please see the report file for more info. I look at the report file and it has the following error code, 80040200.
Next problem. So this diadem (same as above) was once working. It has a short cut on the desktop. When clicking on the short cut, the VBS autosequence is incorrect error displays.

Hi jose,
I have encountered a similar error before when I have installed a later version of DIAdem on the same computer as DIAdem 8.1. In that case re-registering the VBScripting DLL does the trick-- give this a try, making sure to edit the below command to have the exact path to the DIAdem 8.1 folder on your computer:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\DIAdem 8.10\vbscript.dll"
You will likely need to have administrative privileges to run that command,

Brad,
thank you for the reply. I've executed the following: regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\DIAdem 8.10\vbscript.dll" and it give me the following error: dll registerserver in "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\DIAdem 8.10\vbscript.dll" failed. Return code was: 0x8002801c
Don't know if this is helpful but the operating system is Win2K. Pro

Jose,
If you navigate to the C:\Program Files\National Instruments\DIAdem 8.10\ folder on your system, do you have a vbscript.dll file?
Also, did you say that this was working before? When did this stop working? Can you think of any event that may have caused this (added or removed software, etc.)? Do you have any other versions of DIAdem installed?
Thanks!

Peter,
Yes the file exists. I am still investigating what might have cause the sw to go bad? No other diadem versions installed.

Hi Jose,
I find it very significant and ominous that you were unable to register a DLL on your computer. Either that DLL file became corrupt, or you're missing administrative privileges, or your operating system is wounded somehow, or something.
Here's the DLL file from my working DIAdem 8.1-- see if you can register that one. If not, I'd ask your system administrator for help assessing the health of the operating system. Or you could try uninstalling DIAdem 8.1 and reinstalling it, but that's a low percentage try.
