I lose most of my data when I save my TDM as a CSV.

When I try to save my TDM as a CSV I lose most of the data (channels).  I also tried to check the box and save only the selected channels in the data portal but it doesn't work. I only see the first channel I selected when I open the CSV.

Didn't work in DIAdem 2011 nor in 2012 that I just installed today. What's my problem?

Diadem saves only the channels of the first group to a CSV file.

Behavior is the same like Excel that only saves the a single sheet.

So if you save a single group to CSV all channels of this group will be contained in the result file.

What Andreas said.  If this is Weston, and you still have a problem, you can call me, numbers the same. 🙂

Thanks for the reply. I just tried again to convert some channels in my first group from tdm to csv.  I have 15 channels in my first group. It only converts one channel - maybe 2 if im lucky.

It doesn't really matter at this point. I just thought that something was wrong with my install, settings, etc.

If that function of DIAdem was only designed to convert channels in the first group then it is kind of worthless for me - I always deal with more than one group.  Too bad they got rid of the convert to excel function.

Hey RSenior - what's up little buddy?

Is there a memory issue or an error message or does it just save less than expected.

If you need the Excel back you just have to register it.

Settings->Options->Extensions->GPI Extensions

Press the Add button and select GfSExcel.dll.

Afterwards save your config and restart. Excel should be back.

But the easiest way is to use the Excel Addin to read the TDM file directly.

On machines where DIAdem or other NI products are installed there is a Ribbon Add-Ins.

Select the TDM Importer Icon and select your TDMS file. This can also be automated in Excel.

If you have no NI product installed you can download the Excel Addin at
