Hi everyone,
so I´m giving Diadem a try, because I work in a HTS group that well, produces a lot of data. We are cultivating bacteria in 96well MTP and we measure certain parameters of the growth online. Our reader gives us the data in single Excel sheets with the absorbance for every well. So we get one excel sheet every hour of the cultivation with the readout of the full plate.
Every second well contains a different bacterium/medium/etc so I want to merge those wells from different excel sheets into one Channel. I could do that by hand, but that takes time. Maybe someone here knows an easier way to speed things up?
It should look something like this: (ignore that I have circled two wells)

Hi persedes,
The short answer is that DIAdem can help a lot, but we're going to have to write a DataPlugin to read that data. Are all those hourly sheets located in one *.xlsx file, or are they in separate files? What do you want to do with the data channels, once loaded-- what analysis or graphing or tabular display do you want to achieve? You mention that various wells store different compounds-- where could the DataPlugin go to look up that information? Was it written by pen on a physical log book, or is it stored in a different Excel or ASCII file somewhere?
