ORDER ANALYSIS

Hi Nidhi,

Why are you running an order analysis calculation?  What information are you trying to learn from the order analysis?  Ultimately, only you can tell if the results seem reasonable, because you know your physical set up, and only you know what you're wanting to determine by running the analysis.  Are you wanting to create a graph?  If so, what would be plotted on the graph?  Are you wanting to determine the top 3 dominant orders?  Do you want to track the amplitude of order 8 over the full time range of the data set on a 2D graph?  Do you want to see the full 3D spectrum of order amplitudes?

If you'll describe what you want to learn from the analysis, I might be able to help you decide if the results are "right".

Hi Brad,

Sorry for asking same question but i m very confused, i m trying to write files which is available in labview for order analysis in TDM format & then trying to do order analysis in DIAdem with that data, it's giving result but, what i have written through labview having different channel length for "vibration" & "speed" channels. & while using DIAdem function for order analysis   "Call ChnOrdATCalc(XW, y, x1) " its giving error that  "channel length should be same" but in labview with same file it's performing order analysis. so is there any other way to perform analysis in DIAdem or always we need to reduce "vibration" channel length? i m sending you the vi which i m using for writing data in TDM format.

Thanks

Nidhi
