Options for hosting a database of TDMS files

Hi,

We are generating a large amount of measurement data in the form of TDMS files (logged using the VeriStand Embedded Data Logger). I would like to make this data accessible to multiple users, for instance using Diadem as client. In looking through various options in the NI website, it appears to me that I could do this using at least three products.

1. DataFinder server edition

2. TDM server

3. SystemLink TDM DataFinder Module

Is my understanding correct? If so, could you please advise on the pros and cons of these options?

Yes, your understanding is correct.

“SystemLink TDM DataFinder Modul” is the new name for DataFinder Server Edition.

“SystemLink TDM Analysis Add-On” is the new name for TDM Server.

“SystemLink TDM DataFinder Modul” is a database which automatically imports the TDMS meta data and provides different search capabilities for these meta data. This also means that the better you have documented your data with TDMS properties (like test operator, test number, sensor ID, etc.), the more specifically you can search for them.

With “SystemLink TDM Analysis Add-On” you can automize your data analysis and report generation on the server. For this you can typically use your already existing DIAdem VBS scripts (with some small changes).
