Hi group,
Seeing something in DIAdem 2019, that is new for a 2DTable.
When have Table Columns in a 2Dtable, with datatype of Channel. The Entry section only lets me group to be "*" . This is creating some issues as I have more one channel with same name in different groups.
Looked in the DIAdem settings to see if have done something wrong, but so far have not found a solution.

Hi Paul,
It seems that you have selected in the layout settings the "Expand curves" option. This specifies whether DIAdem REPORT displays several curves if several data channels in different channel groups have the same channel name. This also supprts the "*" as representation for channel groups while drag & drop a channel to a REPORT object.

Thanks Walter,
I was sure there was something I had clicked in error, that was causing it, but did not know what!

Walter,
Now that I have a TDR that was built with the Curves Expansion checked,
I have not found a way to turn that off, and then the Report GUI, allowing me to actually change the "*" to a specific group name.
What would you suggest?

Hi Paul,
Turning on or off is controlled by the switch described above. This configuration is stored with the layout.
To change the channel name in the “Curve and Axis Definition” you can double-click the field with the channel and edit it.

Hi Walter,
In my case I am working with report 2Dtable object. In that case, seems that when I uncheck the switch, it will not let me entry anything in Group area. When I try it resets it back to "*".
When I make a new report object, then it allows me to set Group.
For my current project, I will have to redo my report objects. But would suggest that code be reviewed for Report object 2dTable.

Hi Paul,
You are right. If the "Expand curve" mode is active, it is not possible to change the group name in the REPORT table object. This applies to DIAdem 2019 and DIAdem 2019 SP1.
As workaround you can switch off the "Expand curve" mode, change the group name and activate the "Expand curve" mode again. In the next DIAdem version this will be fixed.
Greetings
Walter
