Sampling rate failure

Hallo,

I am using Diadem 9.1, USB-6009 analog input device with the DaqMx 4.0. If I try to apply sampling rates higher than 500 Hz the measuring time doubles:
For example, I adjusted 10000 samples with 1000 Hz. The measuring time took about 20 s (analog stop watch) Diadem tells me it is 10 s and the reached sampling rate is 1000 Hz.
If I try the same recording with the Automation Explorer, there are no troubles.
I asume it is because of the  "Windows timing" I had to choose. Other timing is not accepted. Is there a method to improve this?

Best regards

Juergen

Hello Jurgen,

Which timing do you use? Software Timing or Hardware Timing?
You should use Software Timing for sample rates near 1000 Hz or higher.

Hallo,

I only could find a field in Diadem to change between "best timing" , "soft timing" and "Windows timing". But the only way my  DAC works is the "Windows timing". Even in the Daqmx I couldn't find any timing adjustings for the virtual channels.

Thank you for the support

Jürgen

Hallo,

Attached you can find a screenshot of the "Systemtakt" window.
There you can choose Hardware Takt.

Thanks and regards,

Hallo,

after adding a "Takt-Block" to my DAC the recording works fine. ( I wanted to spare "Blocks" first).
Thank you for the good support.
