I am trying to import some TDMS files into Excel 2003 using the TDM importer. I can import some files but others do not import and I have not yet found the difference. I recieve the following error:
Any ideas what this suggests to look for? I can read the same file with the TDMS Read example vi. I just want to make sure that there is not something wrong with the way I'm generating the TDMS file but it would be nice to be able to import into Excel.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I am using the latest version of the TDM importer. It was installed within the last two weeks.

Hi John,
Would you please post at least one file that works and one file that shows this error? If you'd rather not post them, you can email them to me (brad.turpin@ni.com).

I believe that I've since found the cause of the error. I accidentally had duplicate channel names and although it writes to file, it seems that it doesn't import correctly or at all. After error trapping for duplicate channel names, I believe the problem is solved.

I have recently had files generated the USI Encountered an exception (326). Is it posible that the code is being generated due to the file name being changed from the NI generated format to a generic file name such as pump test.
