Where is the best place to find documentation on how to extract channel stats in text object?

I know how to pull out values like @@"CurrDate:" & CurrDate & " CurrTime: " & CurrTime@@.

Once upon a time I knew how to grab max values out of particular channels as well, so I know there must be some library of macros we can use but I am unable to find said library nor can I find the report template I used to use to extract that information.
