associate one plot with double y-axes

I have seen many posts about plot 2 plots in one figure with double y-axes. The question I want to ask is how to associate ONE plot with double y-axes. The reason I ask this is that I'm writing a VI for a colleague, part of the VI is to monitor a current and plot it versus time. My colleague wants to have y-axis on both sides since the new data point is plotted at the most right. I did so by duplicate y axis and then swap one to the right side of the figure. Then I found that I can only associate the plot with either the left y-axis or the right y-axis, but not both. The result is that, when the measured current changes, only the associated y-axis would change scale (I have chosen auto-scale). So, is there an easy way that I can associate one plot with both the left and the right y-axes?

Thanks!

Hi hwm,

Nope, there's no way to assiciate one plot with two different Y axes.  You can, however create that plot twice, and associate the first one with the left axis and the second one with the right axis.  I have not yet understood why you want two Y axes for the same plot.  Are the Y axes supposed to be different or identical?  If you want identical Y axes, why is using gridlines insufficient?
