Did you mean:

average of 2 digital displays output into a digital display

Hello all

I am working with DIAdem (Advanced 10.2) with DAC Kit. Currently I have 2 digital displays each returning a temperature from the DAC. What I need to do is display a "live"/"real time" average for this data in a digital display.  Is there anyway I can do this using the DAC Kit version?

I will grateful of any advice.

Cheers

Hi Osned,

Did you have a look at the "Processing" blocks in DIAdem DAC? There you find the block "Floating mean". I assume that's what you are looking for.

Hi Osned,

I was wondering how you were getting on with your application.

Morning

I have tried using the "floating mean" process. However, all the "processing" icons are "greyed" out thus preventing their use.  It appears we may have been advised/purchased the incorrect version of DIAdem, i.e. kit instead of bundle (or vice versa).  In view of the current financial climate and the high cost of the appropriate upgrade I was trying to determine if their was alternative method for the calculation of the average.

Many thanks for your interest in this matter.

Hi Osned,

The „floating mean“ functions are VBS functions and are installed by default (without additional costs). Please have a look at the GPI registration (menu -> Settings -> Options -> Extensions -> GPI extensions). There you should find in the “Default GPI Plugins” the file GFSVBSDr.DLL and its status should be “Loaded”.

Hi Walter

I've checked what you suggested and apparently the GFSVBSDr.DLL is in fact loaded

Hi Osned,

It seems that your first assumption is true. Do you have a license for DIAdem KIT or DIAdem BUNDLE? If you have the KIT no mathematical calculation during the measurement is possible. That seems to include the VBS functions.
