Hello Andreas,
you find all Diadem Plugins on the following site
http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4065
There is a *.dat Plugin available
best regards

Hi Andreas,
I checked with R&D to be sure, and it is the case that there is currently NO DataPlugin for that particular type of *.DAT file. Is this an ASCII file or a binary file? If it's an ASCII file, all you will need to send us is several example data files. If it is a binary file, you will need to additionally provide us with the full file format specification.
In either case I will assess the effort involved to create such a DataPlugin, and if it is fairly quick and easy I would be happy to write it myself. If it turns out it will be a lengthy and complicated effort, I probably won't have time to do so, but I might be able to suggest Alliance Partners who would (for a fee).

hy brad,
thank you for answer!
it's a binary one, otherwise i would be able to create my own;)
i think that this plugin for the fileformat from HP would be very popular in the semiconductor business, but i'm not able to create one from this binaryfile.... there is another possability to solve the problem, you can also save the data in a txt format, but than you have only the measurement data (without your setup-data). at the moment it is a workaround wich works not that bad, but if there is a chance to get a plugin i would prefer it.
thank you in advance!!

Hi Andreas,
I found several hits for "HP4155" at the Agilent web site, but I did not find a file format specification for the *.dat files that this instruments apparently creates. If you can find such a file format specification or wheedle one out of Agilent, please post it to this Discussion Forum or email it to brad.turpin@ni.com and I will be happy to evaluate the effort required to create a DataPlugin. It is simply impossible to create a binary file reader of any type without knowing the structure of the binary file, so without the file format specification there is nothing I can do.
