I've just installed DIAdem 10.2. When I launched it, it got error "The internal DIAdem data organization returned an initilization error." Please help explain why and how to fix it.

Hi Larry,

This might be a case where the configuration file is corrupted. One thing to try would be to open DIAdem and go to Navigator>>Settings>>My DataFinder>> Reset Index and Configuration.
In addition to the action above, you can run the following attached VBScripts and check the DataFinder and USI installation:

Hi Larry,

There have also been cases where rebooting the computer has fixed this error.  This usually has to do with installing a new version of NI software (i.e. LabVIEW) onto a computer where DIAdem and the DataFinder were already installed, so it probably won't help, but it's still worth a try.  Also please confirm that you are only running one DIAdem version at the time this error occurs.  Finally, what virus protection software do you have on that computer, and is it active when you run into this error?  Does this error happen on other computers, or just this one?

Let us know if the problem persists,
