pulldown menus lost

Hi,

I just installed DIAdem 2020 SP1 an am wondering, there are no pulldwn-menus in the GUI any more.

In VIEW, MATH, GRAPH, everywhere you need to select one or more channels, the pulldown menus known from former DIAdem versions are lost. Now you need to select the channels by drag and drop from Dataportal.

It´s not an issue, but I wanted to know, who else of you is missing them too, or are you all comfortable with the new way?

Hi Pieczarek,

Yes, the pull-down menus in dialogs for selecting channels are gone. This is because DIAdem now supports up to 150000 channels in the Dataportal. If we would have still the pull-down menus, selecting a channel would be very slow and uncomfortable.

Since a while DIAdem offers for channel selecting dragging & and dropping channels from the Dataportal to a dialog.

New since DIAdem 2019 is that you simply enter some characters (at least 2) of a channel name into a selection field. DIAdem then offers a list with all channels of the Dataportal that contain these characters and you can simply select the needed channel.
