resample to reduce data of a channel

Hi all,
I am simply looking for the VBS code to reduce the number of samples in a channel by two or four. The command should reduce the data by means of averaging. I am convinced it is a very simple command, and I feel annoyed that I wasn't able to find a way to do it.
