ALARM is finishing up its fourth year as an independent LabVIEW user group. During this time, John Giannangeli has provided our group with webhosting and great web support. Thanks, John!
Things are evolving, though, and NI has now opened up the Groups feature of the Community website, allowing us to create our own virtual website (can you have a virtual website?) (can there be a non-virtual website?) hosted on their system. The ALARM Group is one of the first groups to use this feature. Help us create a dynamic and useful website and, in the process, help NI develop the new Group feature!
Thanks,
DaveT

One of the primary purposes of our old ALARM website was to send out meeting reminders to all our membership before each meeting. Now that we are transitioning to the new website, we need to use different mechanisms for this purpose.
Two options are available:
1) After becoming a member and logging into the new ALARM website, look for the Notifications header on the right side of the front page (Overview page). Click on Receive Email Notifications if you want to receive an e-mail every time new content is generated on the ALARM website.
2) If you use RSS Feeds, click on the Group Feeds under Notifications. This option is much more flexible, and you can configure it to receive selected types of content.
Please consider using one of these two methods for staying informed about ALARM events. Broadcast e-mails from the old website will be phased out in early 2009!
