AccessHW with WIN2000 and RTE 5.51 Does not work

Even though I installed RTE 5.51 and AccessHW function Out port.vi doesn,t seems to work. I have used the Out port.vi which is in AccessHW folder. I'm trying to write in address 0x3FC (Modem control register of the serial port. Base address of the serial port is 0x3F8 in my computer). Labview doesn't give any error messages after I have installed AccesHW. Before installation, program execution was stopped and error message was received. Program seems to run normally but RTS-signal (which I'm trying to change)does not change its state.

When you say that you installed the RTE, did you install the LabVIEW RTE or the CVI RTE? The AccessHW library requires the CVI RTE. If you installed the CVI one, you might try a more recent version, the CVI RTE is always backwards compatible, so the CVI 7 RTE should run any CVI program.
