Alternative free software

About a year ago my school was cleaning out a bunch of old stuff and they had some old NI SPEEDY-33 boards. Thinking they might be useful I grabbed a couple of them. After playing around a bit I realized that there was no way to activate the DSP module for labview because my school lost the activation code. Is there any free software that can be used to program these things? os and programming language are not an issue, I can learn.

If there is not a way, is it possible to contact labview about activation codes for EOL products at a discount?

The DSP Module is end-of-life and customers with existing service contracts can inquire about support for this module. You can check if your school has an existing service contract with National Instruments and they may be able to acquire this software for you.

If your school does not have an existing service contract, you could contact one of our sales engineers about possibly purchasing or acquiring this end-of-life software. Thanks. I tried to contact earlier in the year and all that happened was I got linked to the documentation page. Is there some free software (maybe from TI) that would give me the ability to rework some of the chip's bootloader to accept other languages (maybe C)?

I'm not currently aware of any free software for the NI Speedy-33. Can you tell me what school you go to? I can look into your school's information to see if we can find serial numbers and activation codes for the products that you need. Also, since you have a a MyNI account and are a student, you have access to National Instruments Support. If you go to the Service Request manager you can create a Service Request and an engineer should be able to help and answer your questions (link is below).
