Can I have differential digital lines on a PCI-6527?

I am writing an application using LabWindows 6.0 and the latest version of NI-DAQ on an NT machine. This application needs to read and write to differential digital lines. Is this possible with the NI 6527 board?

Hello,
Has anyone else out there worked directly with differential digital signals to/from a digital i/o board?

To the best of my knowledge, differential lines work in several different ways depending on the devices you are using. For instance, I have read of differential digital signals in which the sender needs to send a potential difference of at least 1.5V to register as high (no problem for the NI 6527 if you provide the right voltage at the switch) and the receiver must be able to perceive a difference of as small as 200mV (the NI 6527 needs at least 2V, so this would not be in spec).

However, for most differential digital signals, the specification at the receiving end is probably at or above the 2V minimum required by the 6527.

If you can compare the
se notes with the specification of your differential digital signals, I think you will be able to decide if the board will work for you.
