Because m having the same problem with any device that i connect to PC in addition to device1. if i use 2 devices, device 1 works fine but it gives error 10401 for device 2 on running my application and the device is blinking in 3 blink pattern. m using external power also which is working fine but still m getting this error.
i wud really appreciate some help.

Huzach,

If you only have the second DAQPad plugged in, does it still work? If it doesn't, please see this thread.

No, even then device2 does not work if attached with my hardware that m testing with the DAQ-Pad. if i remove the hardware, then device2 works fine, no blinks. there is nothin wrong with the hardware also, as i have connected that with device1 also, n it. works fine. have used the same setup with device1 n that works perfectly fine.

if i use device2  without any hardware attahced, then it works fine, no blinks. but otherwise it gives error 10401 plus 3 blinks although the external power is working fine.

Hi Huzach-

I'm a bit unclear on which situations the DAQpad fails in.  Does the same device always fail?  Do both devices work independently?  What do you mean when you say "
There is nothing wrong with the hardware also, as i have used another DAQ-Pad 6508 (device 1) with the same setup and it works perfectly fine." ?  Does this mean that the first device works properly but the second never does?  If you can clear up the exact situations where the devices work and where they don't it will make it much easier to troubleshoot the problem.

Thanks-

well thanks alot u all for ur kind help.
I have figured out the problem, actually just one device(device 2) was giving the problem whether i was using it alone or  with some other DAQPad (device1). the problem i was facing was error 10401 with 3 blinks on that device2 but device1 worked fine all along. when i chekced thouroughly i found out that pin 49(+5V) and pin50 (GND) of the I/O Connector through which i was connecting device2 was short, thats why i was getting those power failure blinks. i have solved that problem now, n thankfully the device did not get damaged n its working perfectly fine now :).
so once again thanks alot for ur help.
