DAQmx Base driver failed to initialize.

Hi,

I've been using USB-6501 device on Labview 8.6 on Mac.

The following attached code used to work fine to write data on a port, but for some reason, it's not working the next day.

The error message is also shown in the figure.

Does anyone know a possible cause for this? I ran isdaq and it is still detecting the device as Dev1.

I ran other example VIs for reading and writing DIOs but all gives the same error.

I've tried completely uninstalling the labview and DAQmx base, and re-installed it, but get the same error.

Help urgently needed.

Thanks,

Are you clearing your Task?  If you restart your computer and run one of the examples without opening your program does it execute?  You may also want to review this discussion forum.

Additional info. I just bought the DAQ USB6008 and connect to a Mac with LV 8.5.1.

1) run the lsdaq, the app detects my 6008

2) run NI Datalogger, get "Error -1 occurred at DAQmx Base driver failed to initialize" NI USB-6008 error.png

Yes, I did follow the article but cannot find the file "mxbased.cfg" in directory "National Instruments\NI_DAQmx Base" folder. Attached is my directory.missing mxbase.cfg.png

That location in the document seems to be incorrect and I will update it to the correct location.  Under the root directory locate the Library folder>>Application Support>>National Instruments>>NI-DAQmx Base.  See the attached image.

I found the "mxbased.cfg" file under the root directory as you mentioned. I will have a status update when I get back in office next week.

Thank you.
