Difference between Clock Config VI and editing Handshake parameters for 653x

Hello-

What is the difference between using the Digital Clock Config VI to set the clock frequency for a burst mode operation and setting the 'modify acknowledge mode' and 'modify acknowledge amount' handshaking parameters to change the frequency of the internal clock? Which one is better to use? When using the handshaking parameters, which of the modes and which of the values change the speed? The manual talks about it, but not in very clear detail. Thank you for you help.

Hi,

Digital Clock Config.vi is used to configure the clock rate for pattern generation/acquisition (pattern I/O). Whereas the "handshaking mode parameters" which are parameters for the Digital Mode Config.vi are specifically for burst mode.

Depending on your application, you would use one or the other. If you specify parameters and they are not needed, they are simply ignored. Hope that helps.
