Hi all. I have an ELVIS III with the 'standard' Prototyping Board and I am trying to run some simple experiments for school. I am using Measurements Live and all the Soft Front Panel "instruments" work fine except for the Digital I/O Soft Panel instrument. That disappeared from the list of available instruments.
I have been asking from customer support for some help, but they seem to have a hard time understand what the problem is as they don't understand the concept of an instrument not being there.
Just to avoid confusion, the Digital I/O SFP is a little 'application' that allows one to program the I/O terminals of the ELVIS prototyping board as digital inputs or outputs. In this case, I need to set two DI/O terminals as outputs and with the switches that should show in the virtual instrument be able to make those inputs high or low.
I inserted a pic of the Live Measurements Screen that show what I have and where you can see that the Digital I/O control is missing.
Thank you for any help.

Hello Dorel_C,
Have you tried to reinstall "Live Measurements"?

Thank you for your answer.
Yes, I reinstalled the "Live Measurements" but it didn't fix anything.
I exchanged with tech support quite a few emails and phone calls and they advised me to reinstall several modules, including MAX.
All that did was to make the rest of the NI software that I have unusable. For example, I have a couple years old Multisim version that stopped working as it is older than the Labview modules that were updated by MAX (which are apparently used by Live Measurements).
It seems that the issue originates in the fact that Live Measurements uses some Labview modules.
I don't need nor I want Labview, but when I bought ELVIS they gave me one year subscription and it installed automatically. Now that subscription expired so ELVIS is useless unless I buy another subscription to Labview which I can not afford. (Their engineers say it should work without Labview, but on the other hand, they could not make it work).
Unfortunately I failed the last lab because the ELVIS didn't work so I could not finish the work...
😞
