Does align_dma_buffer do anything these days ?

We are using NI-6534 cards and want to know if the align_dma_buffer is actually doing anything these days. References in the manual mention real mode, standard and enhanced from the days of Windows 3.1 and the original AT card.

Hi Chris,

This function was put in place for the older AT boards. For modern, PCI or PXI versions of the DIO-32HS, 6533, and 6534, this function is ignored. The Traditional DAQ C Function Reference help file contains a note that says the function is for AT products only. In which manual were you looking? I can help make sure the available documentation adequately represents the status of this function.

I hope that helps.

Thanks Allen, you have just settled a long running argument, we were pretty sure it was dead and gone now thanks for confirming it.

Many Thanks
