How I can use Labview 8.0 to Control the bits of control register for EPP/ECP parallel port?

I am trying to be able to control the bits of control register for EPP/ECP - Parallel Port using Labview 8.0. The Parallel port read and write program provided at NI examples can only used to control SPP. The reason why I am trying to control those bits is that I plan interface a LCD through EPP/ECP. And I need be able to control total 10 bits in order to program the LCD I have. Please help!
