How to acquire a wavefrom of a digital device using scope?

I need to acquire the output waveform (Resulted on generating a Vector pattren using a DIO) of a digital device using Ni-Scope 5112. I have used the scope's fetch statement before running the vector patterns, but the scope was not able to acquire the output. Is there any other way to acquire & measure the above output waveform?

What kind of waveform are you trying to acquire? Is it a short pulse like a glitch or is it a repeated waveform? Do you need to trigger your scope in order to accurately see your waveform?

A good place to start with your NI 5112 is with the Scope Soft Front Panel. This utility will allow you to configure many different settings on your scope and acquire waveform much like you would with a stand alone scope. You can find this program by going to your Start button >> Programs >> National Instruments >> NI-Scope >> NI Scope Soft Front Panel.
