I am unable to configure RIO system from MAX

Hi ,

I am using NI C RIO 9012 system for my project. I installed Labview 8.2  and NI RIO drivers on my PC. When I want to configure RIO system from MAX with specified IP address , I couldnt do , I have message as " Unable to intialize connection to remote system". But this is working with my prof PC.

I also want to bring to note that intaially IP adress was  xxx.xxx.xxx.34 , now it changed to xxx.xxx.xxx.2. We are bit surprised how it possible.

We tried in all posibilties but unable to configure from MAX

I use NI RIO 2.1 version.

Thougth the IP adress is changed, my Prof. is still connected but he didnt changed IP adress.

Can any help me to solve this problems.

Hi Dilip!

Are you using IP Adresses ditributed by DHCP or you are using a manual configured? If you using a manual configured, i can't beleve it changed by hisself.

I thing you should set up the cRIO system again. Use the actual NI-RIO Driver and vertyfy that the MAX 4.2.1 is installed on your system. In 4.2 the is a Problem with new RT targets. Connect the cRIO-System to the same subnet wich your system is connected or use a Crossover cable. Now you shold find it in Max. If you boot the system in Safe Mode you can Format it in Max and copy the software to it again.

Also vertyfy if you firewall is disabled.
