Inputs and Outputs in one Task

I have a PC DIO 96 Card and I work with Visual Studio .Net 2003 and Visual C++ .Net

NI DAQ 7.1 an Messurment Studio 7.0 are installed on my PC.

With the help of the Wizard I have created a New Task (NI-DAQmx) for my PC DIO 96 Card. When I add the Task I must selcet the Function (Input or Output) and which Ports. Later I can only remove or add new Ports. Is it possible to make for example a Task with Outputs (Port 2,5,8) and later i configure the other Ports as Inputs with the same Task.

I dont't think that you can change the Task later as Inputs.
