Interfacing 6533 to A/D

I have an application that requires control of 2 16Bit ADCs, is the 6533 card siutable and if so how do I achieve the required handshake ? (The card pulls the Conversion start line of both ADCs low , devices respond by taking busy line high , on the busy line of each device going low the card pulls the read line of each device low, the values of the data bus (ports 2 and 3) being read for each adc ). It is possible using simple VIs and port lines to achieve the required function however the response is very slow. The testing in progress is to verify the front end of a new product prior to the development of the final dsp code .

Alexg,

Yes, you can control the 2 16-bit ADCs with that board. You have up to 32 dio lines which you can group into 2 16-bit ports. The handshaking lines would be ACK and REQ which are available in the pinout of the board itself.

For further details about doing handshaking I/O with this board, I suggest you to take a look at the User Manual's Chapters 2 and 3 of the board:

Hope this helps.
