It takes 1.5us to read 1 byte in Unstrobed I/O. How to improve this?

Hi,

I use RLP (Direct Access via Memory Mapped) for the PCI-DIO-32HS card with Unstrobed I/O mode. The device use Port 0 as Read, Port 1-3 as Write and IN1 (STOPTRIG1), IN2 (STOPTRIG2), and IN3 (REQ1) as extra input lines.  I probe the read port (0), and it takes 1.5us to read 1 byte of data.  This means 0.667 MHz of MSamples/sec.

Can I improve this speed?  Please help.  Thanks,

I'm thinking to change to Burst mode,  but what is the requirement?
