Low or no voltage and LED off on SCB-100

I have an SCB-100 connected to a PCI-6513.  I cannot get a change in voltage when sending a digital signal and the LED is not lit, even when the switches are in the correct position.  Is there some other control or is my device broken?

Hi Mike-

The isolated outputs of your 6513 card require several conditions to be met- you will not be able to connect an LED directly to the card and switch output voltage on and off.  You must have an external power supply, and you must make sure that you connect the load properly to the sinking output of the card.  The NI DIO User Manual has a great diagram of the necessary connections under Devices>>NI 6512/6513>>Power Connections>>Optically-Isolated Outputs .
