My DIO-96 is connected to a 32-Module Backplane (SSR series modules) and I recive some strange readings from the input signals that I can't explain. What ports should I use? And what does the last figures on the DIO-96 (6508), from the SSR manual mean?

According to the DAQ, SSR/Backplanes manual the DIO-96(6508) is not applicable with a 32-module backplane, why is that and if I can't use the 32 module, what should I use? (I have 2 output signals and 24 input signas to control). The output works fine. I use LabWindows / Measurements Studio to configurate, read and write to the board.

And what does the last figures on the DIO-96 (6508), from the SSR manual mean? The DIO-96 with a 32 module backplane is not a supported configuration. NI doesn't sell a cable to connect them together, so I don't know how you physically have them connected. If you are using a custom cable, it is possible that you are trying to drive an input line and might have damaged the DIO-96.

The 2001 NI catalog shows a safer configuration on page 578 fig. 2 under "Up to 48-Channel Relay Control." You might look at configuring your system like this. Another option would be to use a 48 bit NI 6527, which is already isolated and wouldn't need the SSR modules.
