Hello;
This is pretty much looking like a hardware failure. One last test you can do before point the finger to the hardware is to do a fresh installation of NI-DAQ, on another machine (W98 or W2000 if possible), install the board and run MAX.
If the same behavior shows, the board is most likely bad, otherwise, you can try uninstall and reinstall the NI-DAQ driver on the machine which is presenting the problem.
