NI-DAQ 6.9.2, how do you install LabWindows/CVI 5.01 Borland DAQ Library?

I only get an option for CVI MSVC DAQ Library, there is not one for Borland. CVI 5.01 was loaded with Borland Suport Selected, and gives a DAQ Library not correct compatibility when loading. System is Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6.

Hello,

When you are installing NI-DAQ 6.9.2, if you go for custom install, then you should be able to check all the options that are available. And one of them should be for Borland Support.

I do not see an option for "custom install", but when the screen comes up to select what you want to install under LabWindows/CVI Support there is a CVI MSVC DAQ Library, but not one for Borland. If it works there should be a screen snapshot:

Hi,
If you come further down, you will see the support for Borland C/C++ support. Thats the only support for Borland C.

Hi,
Does that mean there is not a library for CVI in Borland Compatibility mode? This is the main reason for the question, CVI gives an error because the DAQ Library is Microsoft Compatible instead of Borland Compatible. I am not looking to use the DAQ with Borland C++, I am using it with LabWindows/CVI in Borland Compatible Mode.

Hello,
Could you please tell me what error are you getting. That would help me in trying to reproduce it here and see what happens. You may tell me what exactly you did so I can reproduce the problem. I would try my best to resolve the issue at the earliest.

Hello,

I just tried to reproduce your problem and I could see it. But then I tried to see it with NIDAQ 6.9.3 and the error was gone. Could you uninstall NIDAQ 6.9.2 and install NIDAQ 6.9.3 from national Instruments website and tell me if you are still facing the problem?

By the way before you install NIDAQ 6.9.3, take out your data acquisition card and after installing nidaq 6.9.3, put back the card in your computer.

Sincerely,

There is not a CVI Borland option. I have been told to load the Borland C++ Support, then I can use CVI but when I tried that CVI said no DAQ Library loaded.

I guess this may just be a quirk, that you can only load CVI MSVC DAQ Support as Measurement Studio seems to be geared toward MSVC.

Screen shot attached of CVI Error, I will try downloading 6.9.3, but it was a week ago that I was told that 6.9.2 was the latest version. I currently am trying to build on a machine that the card will never be installed.

Well, I too saw that there is no Borland option under CVI check list. But with NIDAQ 6.9.3 I could see that the error did not come up. So a good try. Yes, I am aware of this problem. Hopefully with NIDAQ 6.9.3, this problem would not pop up. Your feedback would be important to me.
