NI-DAQ 6.9.2, how do you install LabWindows/CVI 5.01 Borland DAQ Library?

Hi,
I apologize. Seems like even after installing NIDAQ 6.9.3, it gives the error message. So you need not install NIDQ 6.9.3 because I tried to verify again and got the error. I will work on it and get back.

Sincerely,

Have you solved the error?

I have the same problem as JoeH. and not only with NI-DAQ 6.9.3 but also with NI-IMAQ 2.5.2.

There is a way to work with CVI in Borland Compatibility Mode or not (only MSVC centered)?

Thank you in advance

I have found that it is a problem of the installation program cause the right libraries are available inside the cabinet files located onto the CD so during the installation the compatibility mode check seems to not work properly. It was a time expensive search...

I attach a text file in which are indicated what libraries are needed for Borland compatibility and where are.

You can manually extract them and place in the right dir... It works!

Is this related to the error I get whenever I start CVI?

"Aborted load of library "[longpath]\easyio.lib". The file format of [same file] does not match that used by the current compatibility mode."

I found a cryptic note in the help file about the wrong versions of the lib files being installed, but, the part of where it said the right ones were was garbled - did not make sense to me anyway.

Yes, is exactly this.

Depending on the compatibility mode that you have set during CVI installation (you may seen this into the 'Build Options' dialog through the 'Options' menu) the libraries loaded by the system must be of the right binary format.

Due to some install bugs happens that some libraries installed into CVI are always of MFC type (default setup) whichever compatibility mode you may set...

So you must 'rescue' the right libraries from the install cabinet files and place manually into the right dirs... 😞

Best regards.

The link only lists the lib to rescue the data acq, and imaq library for Borland compatibility but does not outline the file for the easyio library for Borland compatibility. Any clues as to which one of the 3 easyio32.lib files in the daqcvi.cab found on the NiDaq 6.9.3 it is??
