PC1200 ACQUISITION HAS MALFUNCTIONED

I am looking to control 3 motors(separately) using LabVIEW, a circuit that I have built myself and the NI PC1200 DAQ card. My problem is that everytime I hook up the system (twice) the digital IO lines have crashed and died on me. I think that may be because of voltages outside of the set allowed ranges going into the pins. Do you think that sounds right and if so what can I do to prevent this. I am a masters student so obviously we are on a budget. Can I get the cards fixed at all? Ive used two already. I am also seriously stuck for time so if you could please get back to me asap I would be very grateful. Thanks, Olivia Sheehan.

Olivia;

The first thing you need to double check is if your circuitry is sinking more current than the DAQ board can source. That might be the cause of your problem.

Regarding the fix of the card, you can give NI a call and ask for a RMA number. The person who attends you will give you more information regarding prices and lead time.

Hope this helps.
