PCI-6229 + Encoder help

I have an angular encoder to be interfaced to read angular position . The set up is PCI 6229 + LV7.1 + Win_XP.

The encoder is 2500 ppr, quadrature type with A.B and Z outputs.

Can anyone guide me how to do it ? I have not used either CTR0 and CTR1 and they are available for this.  I have seen some examples with PCI- 66xx  cards but nothing with 6229.
