Problem: MAX doesn't show the USB6501 device

Hello,

I just purchased an USB6501 device.
 
1. I installed the MAX software on Windows XP Professional
2. I plugged the USB6501 device into the USB socket (Windows recognize and installs the driver)

The problem is that MAX doesn't show the USB6501 device therefore, all the C examples (found in the CD) fails to create a communication channel to the device.

any hint?

Hello,

 I solved the problem:

 for some reason, my Windows XP didn't start automatically a couple of services installed by the MAX installer.
 After manually starting those services, all went just fine.
