Simple Pulse Generation with PCI 6534

In the DAQ custom soloutions gallery, if I choose pulse generation, my output devices (PCI DIO 96, PCI 6703 and PCI 6534) appear grayed out. I realise that the DIO 96 is not available because I dont have any digital output Virtual Channels for this device, but I do for the 6534. Why is this happening? What have I not read that tells me the answer???
Also I am a little unclear as to when the card needs to be triggered? Does this apply to my situation?

Thanks

"Pulse generation" refers to creating one or more digital pulse(s) with a specific delay and pulse width using a counter. Your three boards do not have counters which can be programmed to perform pulse generation. However, your digital boards, the PCI-DIO-96 and PCI-6534, can be used to output standard digital signals. There are LabVIEW shipping examples which demonstrate this functionality (Help >> Find Examples >> Hardware Input and Output >> DAQ >> Digital Input and Output), as well as example programs in Developer Zone:

I hope this helps!

Sonya,

Dont the control lines have a counter in order to create the handshake signal? Can I not use these?

Also can you create a bitstream to be repeated? Presumably with a combination of 0's and 1's and a given frequency could I create my desired pulse?
