I would probably go with a small PXI system. There are plenty of DIO cards and AO cards you can use. You would need separate cards to handle your RS-232 and RS-422.

For a lower cost option, you could consider cDAQ and C Series modules as well.

Can you suggest some cards with part number. The functionality I want to embed is that I can give inputs from the tester card to my board and read response from my custom card on the tester as well.. Does this application requires a card with a FPGA??

Dont u think PXI Chasis with cards is a costly solution??
If there is a card which can output isolated Digital signals of LVTTL on general purpose header pins and analog chanels with seperate grounds it will serve the purpose.
Is there any NI card with such functionality which can be inserted in FMC slot of the base card???

It depends on how fast you want the response to be. if you just want to do a write-and-read test, cDAQ might do the work. If you need to do some fast control, you might want to use the FPGA.
Depending on the input and output range, you can make your choice.
