Unable to generate buffers. Failed_On_Server

Hi,

I am currently using the NI PCIe-6536B board, and I am using Cicero Word Generator which is a collection of software applications for controlling atomic physics experiments. Cicero has two main applications. There is Cicero which is the user interface for editing sequences, and then there is Atticus which is the back-end "server" software that translates the sequences to output buffers. I have been following the manual correctly (I believe); however, when I go to run my sequence in Cicero, I get an error that says "unable to generate buffers. Failed_on_server" which makes me believe there is something done incorrectly in Atticus; however, I cannot figure out what. I used NI MAX to check my sample clock and timing bus to make sure that I routed it correctly, and I found that I am using the correct route. I am using /Dev1/DO/SampleClock as my source terminal and /Dev1/PFI4 as my destination terminal. Also, when I go into Cicero and hit "connect to enabled servers", my Atticus server is connected and pinged successfully. The manual does not say anything about how to generate buffers (if I need to do this manually somehow) or how to solve this error, and there is very little documentation on the internet about Cicero. If someone else has ever worked with Cicero and can please help or if someone else knows anything about generation buffers, please let me know. Thank you. I have attached the Cicero manual just in case.

It is usually caused by server connection. In the Atticus settings you have to name the server and configure the devices (analog and digital) and when you try to connect Cicero to the server, make sure the name is the same as in the Atticus. Then it should work. If not, please share the screen shots of Cicero and Atticus showing the settings.
