Using Hardware compare on HSDIO with multiple waveforms

Hi,

I need to perform several tests on a digital circuit using different patterns / (named) waveforms. In order to reduce testing times I'd really like to download the different patterns only once during test setup and generate from the different waveforms in the onboard memory. This should be no problem so far.
When it comes to comparing the circuits response to the expected response I'd like to use hardware compare mode. I know that this works with simple pattern generation / acquisition, does it also for waveforms? Has anybody already tried?

Cheers

Hello Oliver.  You CAN combine scripting with HW Compare.  This will allow you to preload multiple named waveforms, write a script to describe how to link/loop them together, and then generate the script.  The hardware compare circuitry doesn't even know that there are multiple waveforms - it just sees more expected response data being passed to it, so it knows it has to keep going.

I hope this information helps.

Hi Chris,

thanks for the information. I'll try and repost if somethong is not working!

Cheers
