Hello,
Hardware:
cDAQ 9172 Chassis
NI 9219 AI to collect temperatures from type-K thermocouple
NI9472 DO to generate PWM signals from duty cycle of PID loop
My goal of this project is to monitor and maintain a duct heating element. I am using the PID toolkit to generate the DC for the PWM. With the NI 9472, I am generating a PWM voltage output proportional to my exterior power supply. However, if I used the NI 9401, an exterior power supply would be unnecessary thus making my life easier.
Attached is my VI and jpeg of the VI. What modifications would I need in order for the 9401 DO to function properly? I am very new to LabView.
Thanks

Hi!
Is your program giving you some error?
Had you tried to use first an example to learn how to use that module?

Hi azp7,
My program is able to run with no errors, controlling the relay as needed. I am just interested in the 9401 because of the independence from an exterior power supply. I had difficulty finding much info on the 9401, perhaps you have a link or two?
Thanks!

Ok, still not sure about your issue, but sure. The best you can do is to verify your requirements with the datasheet.
You can find it here: http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/374068a_02.pdf

I wouldn't classify it as an issue, more so of an interest in using a different DAQ.
