Was there a fuse change on the PCI-6503?

We have started seeing a blown fuse on the 5V feed in some products we ship using the PCI-6503.  In the spec sheet on the web, it lists the fuse as a resettable fuse - 1A self-restting fuse per page 3-10 of the User Manual for the PCI-6503 on your website.  We have an earlier version (185183C-01) that appears to have the resettable fuse, but a later version (185183H-01L) has a 2A slo-blo LittelFuse fuse instead of the resettable fuse.  We are investigating why we would be going over current, but we also need to understand more about the change.  Can you confirm the change was made and the product does not meet the specifications published currently on your website?  If so, can you confirm when the change was made and why?  Thanks.

Hi Mottley,

From what I can find, the fuse was changed from version G to H (part numbers 185183G-01 to 185183H-01)- the dates of which I'm not sure.  However, I do know that  this change was made to better protect the devices in a prolonged overcurrent situation on the +5v lines.  This KnowledgeBase explains it in further detail.  I've filed Corrective Action Request (CAR) #197845 on the manual, since it does not reflect the change in fuses.  Have a great day!
