base address error

Hello all of you,

When Installing/Using My Data Acquisition Card, I Receive a "Not Responding to the Selected Base Address" error.

I try with these ways:
   1. Try restarting your computer, and see if the problem still occurs.
   2. If programming in LabVIEW, use the Device Reset.vi to attempt to reset the board. If using a text-based programming language, try sending the board an Init_DA_Brds command to reset the board.
   3. In the Device Manager of your OS, delete the board, and then restart the computer. When the computer restarts, it should recognize the device again and re-allocate resources.
   4. Try the device in a different hardware slot. To do this, shut down your computer, and then move your device into a different PCI/ISA slot on your computer. When you restart the computer, it should recognize the device and re-allocate resources.
   5. Make sure that you have installed the most recent service pack for your operating system.
   6. Try uninstalling and reinstalling your device drivers and software.
   7. Try updating your BIOS to the newest version from your computer manufacturer's website.
   8. Try installing the card and drivers on a different computer.
   9. Contact National Instruments Technical Support (see link below).

But the problem is not change. And i always see 2 name of my device in Device Manager window. I try to delete one, but it also do not work. Can you show me how to solve this. Help me!

Best Regards,
Thuy Thanh

Hello Thuy,

1. Which data acquisition board are you using?

2. Which version of NI-DAQ are you using? (This can be found in the Measurement and Automation Explorer under Software.)

3. Is the board showing up in the Measurement and Automation Explorer under Devices and Interfaces>>NI-DAQmx Devices?

4. Which operating system are you using?

5. What are you doing when you get this error?

6. Usually what fixes this error is to shut down your computer, change PCI slots, and then boot up the computer again.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Have a great day!

Sincerely,
Marni S.
