hello everyone
I have been working with a cRIO-9057 and LabVIEW 2022 Q3 for a project, and everything was functioning properly. However, after not using the setup for approximately three weeks, I encountered issues when trying to run my LabVIEW program again.
In LabVIEW, I receive an error stating that the connection to the target system failed ("Connection to the target system failed"). When I checked in NI MAX, I saw that the cRIO appeared as disconnected (without ip address).
I used the troubleshooting assistant in NI MAX, and after restarting the device (which boots it into safe mode), I was able to reconnect to the device—but only in safe mode.
Based on this https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA0VU00000058D30AI&l=de-DE, I decided to format the device and reinstall only the CompactRIO support and the LabVIEW Real-Time module. This installation worked, and the device appears connected again.
However, the problem arises when I try to install any additional software (such as NI Scan Engine or NI-DAQmx). The installation process begins, but eventually I receive the following error message:
"The software on your target system could not be updated. Operation failed."
Additional notes:
All cables (Ethernet and USB) are working properly.
I have disabled all firewalls on my PC.
The device loses connection or fails to complete the software update every time I try to add software beyond the initial Real-Time and CompactRIO modules.
At this point, I am stuck and would greatly appreciate your support in resolving this issue.
Thank you in advance!
Best regards,
Ghaith
