Can I uninstall nipcibrd.dll?

Hello
I am using a USB-4065 connected to a Windows 10 PC.
Sometimes the OS won't start.
An "Application Popup" message appears in the Event Viewer log.
This PC is set to turn off at any time, so virtual memory usage is limited.
I contacted the PC manufacturer and was told to disable nipcibrd.dll.
However, when I install the USB-4065 using NIPM, nipcibrd.dll is also registered.

Is there a way to avoid this?
I'm using the 2025-Q3 driver with NIPM.

Thank you in advance.

I am missing context here.

How did you go from an "Application Popup" message in Event Viewer to "disable nipcibrd.dll"? I do not understand how those could have anything to do with one another.

Do you have an antivirus flagging that DLL or something similar?

This PC is set to turn off at any time, so virtual memory usage is limited.

I do not understand how having the ability to turn off a PC at any time has anything to do with the amount of virtual memory on the system. Are you concerned about page file size, boot time, or similar?

Thank you for your reply.
Apologies for the unclear message.

>How did you get from an "Application Popup" message in Event Viewer to "disable nipcibrd.dll"?
>I don't understand how those could have done anything differently.

This was the advice given by the PC manufacturer after analyzing this Event Viewer log.

Below is the PC manufacturer's response.

From here
-------------
Information 2025/9/10 16:27 Application Popup 26 None
Application Popup: Windows - Low Virtual Memory: Your system's virtual memory is running low. To ensure Windows operates properly, increase the size of your virtual memory page file. See Help for details.
-------------

We believe this issue only occurs in environments where the National Instruments nipcibrd driver is installed.
As I mentioned last time, this driver seems to continue running even when the NI board is removed, so I think the only solution is to disable the driver directly.

Could you please contact National Instruments to inquire about how to disable the nipcibrd driver?

Up to this point

This issue occurs when Windows, which normally takes one minute to start up, takes more than five minutes to start up.

This occurs about once in 50 attempts.

PC manufacturer: Interface, Inc. (https://www.interface.co.jp)

Thank you for your cooperation.

That answer is lacking a lot of detail. I've never heard of this specific library causing this type of problem. This is a rather extraordinary claim, particularly without knowing the details of the Event Log of concern. Please provide the details of the Event Viewer log entry of concern.

Perhaps it is the last library to load in the situation where something is exhausting all your virtual memory?

How much virtual memory do you have? Have you checked it using a Virtual Memory tool, e.g. VMMap, particularly in the failing case? Have you tried to increase it?

Is this on a Virtual Machine?

When does the issue occur? Does this only occur immediately upon boot, when you start a measurement, or with other usage of the system?

Why do you suspect NI software at all? Is it only because of the PC manufacturer's comment, or do you have some evidence yourself?

Hello
Sorry for the late response.

I've attached the Event Viewer log analyzed by the manufacturer.
>Information 2025/9/10 16:27 Application Popup 26 None
The information is in 20250910163310_sys.evtx.

I'm not capable of providing detailed information on things like PC virtual memory, so I've asked the PC manufacturer for support.
I've given them the address of this page, so I expect they'll join the discussion.

This is a Windows startup issue.
Thank you in advance.

I should have been more clear: I just wanted the contents of that specific Event in the log.

Please remove the attached log, as it may contain information you don't want others to have outside your company. I did download it and will aim to take a look today.

One more question for now: Do you have Windows Fast Boot enabled? This should be turned off and could be causing your issue if it's on.

I see nothing in that log that would indicate that nipcibrd.dll is at fault here, or, indeed, anything related to NI products.

Have you tried to reproduce this behavior without NI software or hardware on the system?

At this point, I'm out of ideas for easy things to try. I recommend that you open a technical support case. See https://www.ni.com/my/s/technical-support
